Children’s Health Centers of VNA Receive a Grant from the Green Tree Community Health Foundation to Provide Primary Health Care Services to At-Risk Children

Visiting Nurse Association-Community Services (VNA), of Abington has received a $47,500 grant from the Green Tree Community Health Foundation in support of its nurse-managed Children’s Health Centers. Announcement of the grant was made by Susan Hansen, Ph.D., Executive Director and CEO of the Foundation on behalf of the Board of Trustees on March 4, 2009. VNA PARTNERS WITH SIEMEN’S MEDICAL SOLUTIONS FOR UNITED WAY DAYS OF CARING
Through the United Way of Southeastern PA’s Days of Caring Program, the Visiting Nurse Association-Community Services (VNA) was the recipient of “Welcome Bundles” from the generous employees of Siemens Medical Solutions, USA, Inc.

 

September 14, 2006:
VNA RECEIVES $3,000 FROM THE UPPER DUBLIN TWINING VALLEY GOLF CLASSIC
Abington, PA—The Upper Dublin Township Board of Commissioners distributed proceeds from the June 2006 Upper Dublin Twining Valley Golf Classic at its September monthly meeting. The Golf Classic, hosted by Philadelphia News icon Larry Kane, is organized each year to benefit local organizations serving Upper Dublin and the surrounding community. VNA-Community Services, Inc. received a check in the amount of $3,000 from the Commissioners.

Since its inception, the Upper Dublin Twining Valley Golf Classic has distributed more than $800,000 to local charities. VNA-Community Services, Inc. is proud and grateful to be one of the organizations chosen to receive funds from this annual tournament.

VNA provides services to 4,000 individuals each year through the Children’s Health Centers, In-Home Services to the elderly, Preschool Screening Program and RX Support programs. For more information on the VNA please contact the agency at 215-572-7880.
