Through its nurse managed Children’s Health Centers in Abington and Norristown, VNA provides quality primary health care to uninsured and underinsured children.
The Children’s Health Centers of VNA are a “medical home” for children who otherwise would not seek health care except on an emergency basis or would find it difficult to receive care.
Care includes: routine well-child care, immunizations, school and sport physicals, treatment of the sick child, parenting education, home visits when necessary and referral support. An important component of the care is assisting families to obtain free or low-cost health insurance for children.
The fees for VNA services to children are significantly discounted and well below the cost to provide the care.
In the Children’s Health Centers, charges are generally paid by Medical Assistance HMO’s. VNA currently accepts the following insurance:
