When given a choice, most seniors would like to remain in their own homes and communities as they age. The In-Home Services Program of VNA makes this choice possible.
Through its "Client's Choice" approach to care, clients and their families have an active voice in care decisions. At a time when seniors may be experiencing losses such as physical decline, shrinking social networks and decreased privacy, the In-Home Services Program of VNA offers support, quality care and a sense of independence.
The In-Home Services Program of VNA offers its clients high quality, trusted services. VNA Home Care Aides are fully insured, bonded, thoroughly screened and supervised by RN Nurse Supervisors. The VNA In-Home Services team of Registered Nurses, Home Care Aides and Schedulers offer the following services to support a goal of continuing independence at home or in a senior living community:
Certified Home Care Aides assist with bathing and personal care including dressing, walking, exercise, feeding, toileting, transferring (chair to bed or bed to chair) and bedside care. Case management services are provided to seniors who live alone with no family or caregiver support. This service is often packaged with Homemaker Services.
When the care of the house becomes too much for the elderly or disabled individual, homemaker, meal, laundry and errand support is available. Through this program Certified Home Care Aides assist with food shopping, meal preparation, laundry, general errands and light housekeeping. This service is often packaged with Personal Care Assistance.
Respite Services offer "Care for the Caregiver" by providing a much needed break to enjoy family activities, pursue personal interests, relax for a while or attend to family errands and personal responsibilities. Through this service Certified Home Care Aides can provide personal care, homemaker services or companion services. Respite services affirm and encourage the primary caregivers and help them return to care giving with confidence, knowledge and a new energy.
For those who live alone and are homebound the Companion Services of VNA offer important personal contact, socialization and activity during the day.
The Case Management Services of VNA offer assistance in establishing a definitive Home Care Plan as well as coordination of necessary services. This service offers peace of mind for those who are responsible for the care of a loved one.
The fees for VNA services are paid through private pay arrangements, entitlement programs such as provider contracts and insurance. Additional fee sources include CHOICE and Medicaid Waiver. VNA staff members can help guide new clients through any application processes.
VNA In-Home Services provide the care you or your loved one needs to stay independent at home.
